In this week's Game Design lesson we looked into the idea of gamification, the principle of applying game elements to non-game settings such as education. We played many educational games for young children and critiqued some of them so that we could work out a set of design principles which would allow us to create good educational games of our own. My critiques can be found here.
We then were tasked with designing our own educational games in groups and presenting them to the class. I don't currently have access to our presentation but I do have the stunning wireframes I put together in MS Paint to illustrate our concept.
