ANCIENT SAGE

A highly technical fighter, able to overcome entire groups of enemies with precise ability usage. This master of melee combat taught Lee Sin everything he knows and is intended to be an even more methodical counterpart to that existing champion. Ancient Sage is most at home in the top lane but could also work as a mid laner or jungler.

Unstoppable Combination

Passive

Hitting an enemy champion with an attack or ability or using Jutsu grants you a stack of Unstoppable Combination, increasing your Attack Damage, Armour and Magic Resistance by a small amount. Gaining a stack from a source will stop you gaining stacks from that source for a short duration  e.g. basic attacking a target you have already basic attacked wont get you another stack, expert striking them will though. This buff lasts a short duration but getting a new stack refreshes it.

 

Notes: This encourages the player to string together each of their different abilities and basic attacks to maximise their damage and survivability, increasing the character's skill cap.

Expert Strike

Q

Reset and empower your next basic attack, causing it to deal bonus physical damage scaling with Attack Damage. Short cooldown. While empowered by Jutsu, this ability does increased damage, gives your attack greatly increased range and causes it to hit all enemies in range along a straight ling through the target. Using expert strike on someone effected by pressure point deals additional damage as a short duration dot.  

 

Notes: Without Jutsu this is a very standard empowered attack, just providing damage, but the Jutsu and Pressure Point versions can allow you to deal great multi-target ranged damage.

Lethal Kick

W

Leap to your target’s location with a flying kick, dealing moderate physical damage scaling with Attack Damage. Moderate cooldown. While empowered by Jutsu, this ability gains increased range and damage and slows the target. Using Lethal Kick in melee range on a target effected by Pressure Point will knock them away a moderate distance, you can reactivate this quickly to follow them with your kick.

 

Notes: The on-demand mobility granted by this ability allows the player to engage onto their target and stick with them so they cannot escape, especially the Jutsu version. The Pressure Point empowered version of this allows the player to reposition their target while staying in range to attack them. This mimics the ultimate ability of the Sage's iconic apprentice Lee Sin.

Pressure Point

E

Quickly tap a target within melee range, stunning them for a short duration and dealing minor physical damage scaling with Attack Damage. Moderate cooldown. While empowered by Jutsu, this ability gains increased duration and damage and effects all enemies in a small area around you rather than one target.

 

Notes: Having some additional crowd control to reduce incoming damage and stop enemy escapes is useful, especially when use on multiple targets during a fight due to Jutsu. The most interesting thing about this ability however is the way it augments the other abilities, allowing the Sage to launch opponents and deal additional damage over time.

Jutsu

R

Focus your spirit, and dash a very short distance in the target direction, becoming untargetable while you do so and causing the next ability you cast within a few seconds to be empowered, gaining additional effects. Moderate cooldown. Your jutsu empowered abilities do not share cooldowns with their unempowered versions.

 

Notes: The ability to evade incoming damage with a perfectly timed Jutsu gives the Sage an immense skill ceiling. Proper usage of the Jutsu empowered abilities also allows the Sage to pull off some devestating combinations such as using W to get into range, auto attacking, using Q to reset the attack timer and deal damage, using pressure point to stun, using Jutsu to dash through the target, then using W twice again to launch the target into the Sage's team and come flying after them, dealing great damage, gaining lots of Combo stacks and leaving the enemy in a very vulerable position.
